Itchy scalp? You might have one of these.

Dandruff, Psoriasis and Dry Scalp effects a high percentage of the population, but how do you know which one is causing your scalp to itch &/or flake?

Dandruff,  Psoriasis and Dry Scalp are sometimes misdiagnosed as each other as they all have similar characteristics.

Psoriasis is not curable, and causes red patches of skin that are scaley with a silver like look.  If you are diagnosed with Psoriasis, it is important that you follow the steps that your medical professional advises to control it.

Dandruff produces scales as well but they are yellow or white in color and are generally attached to the scalp and sometimes also to the hair shaft.  Dandruff results from having an over production of sebum and can be controlled by washing the hair with a dandruff shampoo.  A product that works well for our customers is a shampoo called Hair Support.  Hair Support works to cleanse the sebum out of the hair follicle which in turn allows the hair to grow freely from the follicle.

Finally Dry Scalp is when the scalp produces white flakes, which are sometimes noticed flaking onto your shirt.  If you switch to a mild shampoo such as Qshi Moisturizing Shampoo, this can help to eleviate this condition.

Most people who are experiencing hair loss, suffer from one or more of these conditions. At Donte's of New York, we offer many products that can help you with both your hair loss as well as to help keep your hair and scalp better hydrated.  If you are experiencing hair loss or if you are looking for a product that can help keep your hair looking it's best, give us a call today, 480-483-8800, or visit us on the web:  www.dontes.com, we are here to help.
