Taking care of fine or oily hair

Fine or oily hair requires maintenance.  Most people believe if you have fine or oily hair it must be washed daily. This is not always the case, as washing hair every day, will strip away the hairs natural oils and can produce frizz.  At Donte's of New York, we recommend that our clients with fine or oily hair try to wash their hair every other day. For our fine haired or oily haired customers, we suggest using Hair Support shampoos and conditioners.  Hair Support will not only provide your hair with a deep cleansing, but will also strengthen it.  One of the things we want our customers to be aware of is how they are cleansing their scalp.  We advise our customers to limit the friction on their hair by massaging the shampoo into their scalps with their fingertips, rather than scrubbing with their palms. Scrubbing will cause friction and that can lead to breakage.
